Your Da Nang, Vietnam Nightlife Guide - At A Glance:
Da Nang Nightlife: The Top Da Nang Clubs and Da Nang Bars
Without further ado, let’s jump into the list, starting with the top Da Nang clubs.
Da Nang Clubs
Most nightclubs in Da Nang are located riverside. Take a Grab (Southeast Asia’s #1 rideshare and delivery app, make sure to download in advance!) across the Dragon Bridge once you’re ready to party.

Ready to take your night to new heights? Try Sky 36, the highest skybar in Vietnam – something to check off your Vietnam nightlife bucket list! This is more of a “stand at your table” club than a “hit the dance floor” club, but the DJ was on point and the dancers were excellent. Rather than just go-go dancers, we were treated to a variety of acts that were highly entertaining. Drinks are pricey here, probably the highest of this list. But, if you get reservations ahead of time to arrange a table near the edge, you’ll be treated with soaring views of the city. That being said, if you don’t have a reservation, you’ll likely be placed at a table where you can’t see much, so make sure to plan ahead for this one.
Our favorite Da Nang club was probably Karma Lounge. Karma is a bit more of an upscale vibe. It’s lushly decorated with lights, greenery, and murals. Here you can get bottle service at their posh leather couches or party on their sunken dance floor, giving the place a bit of an arena feel. You’ll find quality cocktails, a top-tier DJ, go-go dancers and balloons here like other Da Nang clubs, but what makes them stand out is what I’ll call “crowd engagement.” The bartenders here do all sorts of fun things to spice things up. Think flaming shots and a drinking game that involved our new German friend donning a motorcycle helmet. It made for a memorable – and hilarious – night out.

A newer entry into the Da Nang nightlife scene, Airdrop Club received 10/10 stars from our group for their exceptional service levels. We had personal attendants pouring us drinks, bringing us a platter of fresh fruit to snack on, and handing us warm towels after the bathroom. It was the epitome of balling on a budget. We felt like royalty, and all for the cost of a bucket of Heineken – just 681K VND, or ~$26. We definitely left a tip at this place, and it was cash only, so come prepared with plenty of dong to make the most of your time at Airdrop.
Da Nang Bars
Whether you need somewhere to grab a drink before hitting the Da Nang clubs, need a night off from the pulsing music, or clubs just aren’t your thing, Da Nang nightlife has a ton of other options to offer you. Below are our favorite Da Nang bars, broken out by vibe – beach bars, music and dancing venues, and speakeasies and chill cocktails.
Beach Bars

Maia Beach Bar on My An beach is your perfect spot for daytime resort/lounge vibes. This was one of our favorite haunts, as they offer both “indoor” and on-the-beach seating with plush couches and umbrellas, and they’re dog-friendly too! A DJ set usually starts in the early afternoon, and the drinks are surprisingly affordable for the setting. Around 165K (~$6) for cocktails in a cabana? Yes please. Food is definitely on the expensive side, but you can’t beat being able to walk to the ocean and dip your toes in between drinks.

Located on My Khe beach, Esco Beach Bar is the night lounge to Maia’s day lounge. Relax in front of their infinity pool while enjoying either a DJ set or live band, sip your cocktail, and grab a bite to eat while you’re at it. While you won’t be sitting on the sand, there are tons of beachfront chairs where you can watch the sunset or see the stars over the ocean.
Want to guarantee beachfront seating or have a large party? Reserve your table at Esco Beach in advance via email or Facebook message.

Just down the street from Esco, you cannot miss Lounge Beach Bar. What’s so special about Lounge Beach Bar you ask? Well, on Friday and Saturday nights at 9:15pm, they have a fire show. Bartenders and other staff descend to the beach and put on an epic performance of fire twirling, tricks, and acrobatics. The show lasts about 10 minutes, and there is plenty of beachfront seating at the bar from which to enjoy it. This was definitely a highlight of Da Nang nightlife for us, so definitely make sure to work it into your itinerary.
Da Nang Bars for Music & Dancing
You don’t have to head to a Da Nang club to enjoy peak Vietnam nightlife. Check out these entertaining bars focused on music and dancing instead!

While not technically a bar with dancing, Kết High was arguably the number one bar we visited. It earns its spot in this category thanks to its excellent DJ and absolute entertainers of a bartending crew. This is Vietnam nightlife at its finest – the bartenders put on a SHOW while making your drink, and you can tell they are having an absolute blast doing so. We couldn’t stop laughing at our bartender’s theatrics – that is, until we tasted our incredible cocktails. This one is a true can’t-miss.
In An Thuong’s nightlife district, Aqua Betty is the number one spot for American-style karaoke – and everyone knows it. At night, this spot is thronging with people till the wee hours of the morning, belting out their favorites to a raucous crowd. It’s an absolute blast, but if you want to sing, make sure to sign up early! With this many people coming for a good time, the wait time can be pretty long.

True to its name, Blends is a bit of a blend between Da Nang clubs and bars in An Thuong’s nightlife district. Here you can expect fire DJs, a busy dancefloor, and excellent cocktails, along with a social atmosphere. It’s a place to meet people, dance to EDM and pop music, and trot out your newest, coolest outfit. It reminded me of the types of bars/clubs we used to dance the night away at in the 2010s, but modern. They were also some of the better cocktails we enjoyed in Da Nang, and the prices are very reasonable.
Ready to dance and relive your college days? Le Funky Donkey is the place to be. Another popular spot in An Thuong, Le Funky Donkey is usually packed with people dancing, drinking, and playing games like beer pong and Jenga. When we visited, the music skewed Latin, which made for excellent energy on the dance floor, but the DJs mix it up with different styles on other nights. This was one of the most buzzing and fun Da Nang bars we visited, and an excellent open-air alternative to the clubs riverside.
Speakeasies & Chill Cocktails
After a few nights of rowdy nightlife – or just some long days of touring – sometimes you just want a delicious cocktail in a chill environment. These Da Nang bars and speakeasies are perfect for when you’re ready for a little peace and quiet.

This speakeasy is located in the heart of An Thuong, near one of our favorite restaurants in Da Nang for the morning after, Bikini Bottom Express. As its name implies, this bar is themed after a WWII bunker. Their creative decor includes gas masks in the corner and a black and white film projected on the wall. Enjoy themed drinks like a “Hand Grenade” or a “Shellshock” from their “Confidential” menu served in a manila envelope, or opt for a classic. Either way, you’ll sip your drink in this quiet, low-lit bar that’s perfect for date night or catching up with friends.

United Bar is possibly the most famous bar in Da Nang. This speakeasy is located behind what appears to be an abandoned banh mi cart. It’s cool, cozy, and low-lit inside, but very small – come early or make reservations if you want to secure a seat. Once inside, try their signature Banh Mi cocktail with vodka, chili syrup, lemongrass, and lime juice for just 160K VND (~$6).

Time to experience the classy side of Vietnam nightlife – bespoke cocktails. Another well-known star, Black Wolf is a speakeasy unique for its lack of a menu. Instead, the bartender will discuss your flavor preferences with you and concoct a custom cocktail to match your vibe. The interior is dark and cozy, perfect for date night, and the service is top notch. Prices are higher but still a steal for a cocktail made just for you, 200K VND or ~$8 per drink.

Ready to be transported to a tropical oasis? Head to Firebirds, a hidden gem tucked behind the foliage of a residential area in My Khe. Firebirds is gorgeous, full of lush tropical plants, cozy lighting, and wooden walkways outside, and a cool interior full of retro collectibles and homemade furniture inside. Their cocktails lean toward the tropical side, and are beautifully finished with fruit and floral garnishes. Pro tip – make sure to bring some bug spray if you plan to sit outside.
Finally, one of our personal favorite hidden gem Da Nang bars, Jungle Box. This small bar on the outskirts of An Thuong was so beautiful, expertly landscaped like a Zen garden, and had some of the friendliest service in Vietnam. Not only was Cali (our dog) welcomed, but we were provided with bar snacks and our own personal anti-mosquito incense as well. They served me arguably the best Mai Thai in the city, and we found ourselves so relaxed and at peace there. 10/10, we would go back again and again.
FAQs: Da Nang Nightlife Guide
Which Da Nang Clubs and Bars Require Advance Reservations?
We recommend making reservations at the following in-demand Da Nang clubs and bars at least 1 week in advance – book now using the embedded links:
Do Vietnam Nightlife Venues Sell "Balloons"?
Like in Thailand, most Da Nang clubs sell nitrous oxide balloons for pretty cheap. As with any recreational drug, consume at your own risk and use safety precautions if you choose to partake, as in using only in limited amounts and around trusted friends.
Which Neighborhoods Have the Best Da Nang Nightlife?
Da Nang nightlife is centered around the Hai Chau, An Thuong, and My Khe Beach areas. You’ll find most of the Da Nang clubs in Hai Chau (riverside), while An Thuong and My Khe Beach are popular for beach bars, speakeasies, and casual spots with Western influence.
An Thuong and My Khe Beach are also two of the best areas in Da Nang to stay. We’ve included some of our top hotel recommendations below – learn more about these and other recommended hotels in our Da Nang itinerary and travel guide.
- An Thuong:
- Rom Casa Hostel ($) – 9.1 average rating

When Do People Typically Go Out in Da Nang?
Nightlife in Da Nang tends to pick up around 9 or 10pm at bars and closer to 11pm at nightclubs.
Should I Tip at Da Nang Bars and Clubs?
For casual bars, not tipping is standard practice. However, in nightclubs with attendants and nicer bars with exceptional service, a 5-10% tip is more common. A few thousand VND (yes, thousand, the exchange rate is ~25K VDN to $1) for bathroom attendants is also appreciated.
Do Vietnam Nightlife Venues Accept Credit Cards?
While many Da Nang bars will accept credit card, there are still a lot of venues that only accept cash, or accept card with an added fee. We recommend keeping at least 1 million VND (~$38) on hand at all times. And don’t forget our top tip on withdrawing from ATMs in foreign countries!
Pro tip: When offered an exchange rate by an ATM, you can – and should – always decline the rate displayed. This rate often includes a heavy markup on top of the market exchange rate. Declining the rate will not stop your transaction, but rather allow your personal bank to set the rate instead.
Do I Need to Speak Vietnamese to Order at Da Nang Bars?
Definitely not. We had no issues interacting with people in the service industry in English during our 3 months in Vietnam, though knowing a few key words will definitely win you some brownie points with the locals. Practice these ones before your trip:
- Hello – Xin chào – seen CHOW
- Goodbye – Tạm biệt – tahm BYEHT
- Please – Làm ơn – lahm UHN
- Thank you – Cảm ơn – gahm UHN
- Can I pay? – Tính tiền nhé – ting tee-en nyeh
- The bill/check – Hóa đơn – hwah dun
