Our Story
When doing life the “right” way takes you down a different path…
We followed the typical life road map: go to college, score a great job, get married, buy a house, etc. But even after checking all the boxes, we felt like we were missing something. What happens when the American Dream isn’t your dream? We had one answer – leave it all behind.
We sold everything. We quit our jobs, grabbed our pup, and set out to build the life we dreamed of from inside our cubicles. 2 years later, we’ve lived in 13 countries across 5 different continents, all with our dog, Cali, by our side – and we’re just getting started!
To travel is to untether the soul, so that it may be free to **fly**
How We Got Here
- 2021 - We moved to the suburbs and began our "American Dream" checklist - starting with buying a boat (a.k.a. our first money pit). We quickly became bored with the slower pace.
- 2022 - We welcomed our precious floof Cali to the family (great decision) and bought our first home (not-so-great decision). Burnout and depression built as each new item checked off the list saddled us with more cost, more responsibility, and more stagnation.
- 2024 - We decided to leave it all behind, and after a year of planning and preparation, we quit our jobs, sold our home, and almost everything we owned. Each item out the door felt like a weight off our shoulders as we set out for our worldwide adventure!
- 2025 - We completed our first trip around the world through Europe and Southeast Asia and decided to take a journey down the west coast of South America.
- 2026 - 2 years of full time travel later, we're living and experiencing the best that each country has to offer - sign up for our newsletter to read our latest adventures!
